Duygu Özpolat & Anthony Smith Present at the A&S Teaching Innovation Showcase
Do you want a first look at the creative approaches that could change the way courses are taught in Arts & Sciences? The Teaching Innovation Showcase is an opportunity to hear from innovative A&S faculty who are transforming the classroom learning experience. Our own Duygu Özpolat will present on her teaching project, Franken-worms -- an effort to teach undergraduate students how to think like a scientist by becoming imaginary worm surgeons. Another Biology faculty member, Anthony Smith, will present on the Hallmarks of Cancer and Patient Care: From Molecule to Bedside -- his project aimed at helping undergraduates explore meaning in science while also discovering whether a career in health care is the right calling for them.
